As part of its primary mission to enhance the quality of life of the residents of Idaho and the greater community outside of Idaho, the Division of Health Science hosts an annual Research Day event to promote and disseminate ongoing research on Health Care in Idaho. Research Day also provides a local venue for DHS faculty, staff, and students to (a) showcase the research they are presenting at other regional, national, and international meetings, and (b) encourage across-discipline collaboration.
Research Day includes (but is not limited to) research into the five dimensions of the health professions that are the focus of the Division: 1) physical health, 2) mental health, 3) oral health, 4) rehabilitation and 5) wellness. Attendees can expect to encounter all types of research including basic research, translational research, and educational research. Presenters include ISU faculty, administrators, and students, as well as their community collaborators. Presentations are made from both the Pocatello main campus and ISU-Meridian with many sessions broadcast to both sites simultaneously using ISU's distance learning facilities.
Research Day is coordinated by the Division's Research Day Sub-Committee.
