Objective 2.1: Establish a functional Office of Research within the Division
- 2.1.1 Develop proposal for DHS Office of Research for Meridian and Pocatello (accomplished)
- 2.1.2 Secure sources of revenue in support of new office (accomplished)
- 2.1.3 Work to diversify the sources of funding for ICHR (ongoing)
- 2.1.4 Develop and promote services to be offered to DHS researchers (ongoing)
Objective 2.2: Identify and support interprofessional research teams
- 2.2.1 Identify research liaison within each DHS unit (accomplished)
- 2.2.2 Conduct a survey in Division concerning research interests (accomplished)
- 2.2.3 Identify functional working groups with specific research foci
- 2.2.4 Develop web page with DHS research interests and links to publications, vitae, etc. (in process)
- 2.2.5 Establish a system of deployment of ICHR support to research teams (in process)
- 2.2.6 Establish protocol/procedure for fund source scouting (in process)
Objective 2.3: Increase visibility of Division research endeavors
- 2.3.1 Continue to convene an annual DHS Research Day (ongoing)
- 2.3.2 Develop a system of recognition and reward for researchers
- 2.3.3 Promote dissemination of research within DHS through regular forums and internal newsletter/email (in process)
- 2.3.4 Promote dissemination of research outside of DHS through DHS research newsletter, press releases, website, Facebook, etc.
Objective 2.4: Improve DHS research infrastructure
- 2.4.1 Identify needed improvements to research infrastructure on Pocatello and Meridian campuses (in process)
- 2.4.2 Identify resources to make improvements
- 2.4.3 Coordinate with ISU Research Council and Office of Research (ongoing)
Objective 2.5: Build DHS research workforce
- 2.5.1 Promote strategic, interdisciplinary research hiring in DHS
- 2.5.2 Identify DHS research workforce gaps
- 2.5.3 Develop formal program to attract new and experienced researchers to DHS
