Idaho Science and Engineering Festival to feature “Pyrotacular” demonstration

The Department of Physics and the Society of Physics Students at ISU will be presenting a free “Pyrotacular” demonstration on Saturday, April 12, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in room 140 of the Physical Science Building at Idaho State University.

This presentation will be the finale of the all-day Idaho Science and Engineering Festival at ISU. For more information on the festival, including the schedule of events, go to http://www.isu.edu/isef/events.shtml.

The demo show will feature the “Fire Tornado,” the “Giant Jug Rocket,” the “Flaming Wave Tube” and other demonstrations. At 3 p.m., families can come for for hovercraft rides, “hair raising” with aVan deGraff generator, and other hands-on science activities. This and other science demo shows are also presented at local elementary and secondary schools upon invitation.
