Idaho Science and Engineering Festival to feature “Pyrotacular” demonstration

The Department of Physics and the Society of Physics Students at ISU will be presenting a free “Pyrotacular” demonstration on Saturday, April 12, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in room 140 of the Physical Science Building at Idaho State University.

This presentation will be the finale of the all-day Idaho Science and Engineering Festival at ISU. For more information on the festival, including the schedule of events, go to

The demo show will feature the “Fire Tornado,” the “Giant Jug Rocket,” the “Flaming Wave Tube” and other demonstrations. At 3 p.m., families can come for for hovercraft rides, “hair raising” with aVan deGraff generator, and other hands-on science activities. This and other science demo shows are also presented at local elementary and secondary schools upon invitation.
