The Idaho State University Office of Marketing and Communications distributes this event calendar to let the public and media know about upcoming non-athletic events at the University. Saturday, Feb. 22

• ISU Spring Career Fair: Wednesday, Feb. 26, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the
Pond Student Union Ballroom. A variety of companies will be on campus to discuss full-time employment opportunities as well as internships. Contact the Career Center with any questions at 282-2380.

• Merle Haggard Concert: Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall. Merle Haggard, the “poet of the common man,” has been country legend for decades. Haggard has 40 No. 1 hits, has charted scores of Top Ten songs and won just about every music award imaginable, both as a performer and songwriter. Inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1994, his body of work easily places him as one of the most influential artists in country music. Tickets from $38-$47. • Frank Church Symposium: Feb. 26 – Feb. 28 at the Pond Student Union building in the Salmon River Room and Goranson Hall. The keynote address is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, in Goranson Hall, on the ISU campus. Panel and lectures will be in the Salmon River Suite, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Pond Student Union, Feb. 26, 27 and 28. This free symposium is the only one of its kind in our region and named for Idaho Senator Frank Church, Chair of the U.S. Committee on Foreign Relations during the Vietnam War. This year’s topic will be on “Human Rights.” The symposium is organized by ISU’s International Affairs Council (IAC) and sponsored by ASISU. • Art a la carte: Silent Auction and Chili Fundraiser: Thursday, Feb. 27, from 5-8 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Fine Arts Building. The silent auction is from 5-7:30 p.m. in the Compartment Gallery. Senior Show in John B. Davis Gallery, all artwork offered in the Silent Auction is donated by students, faculty and alumni. Open Studios all night. The Chili and cornbread dinner is $6. Silent auction preview exhibition held Monday 2/24-2/27 in the CompARTment Gallery- fourth Floor Fine Arts Building. • 21st Annual College of Pharmacy Spaghetti Feed Raffle and Auction: Friday, Feb. 28, in the Pond Student Union Ballroom. Hosted by the College’s Professional Pharmacy Student Alliance, (PPSA) proceeds from the event will once again help fulfill the wish of a Make-A-Wish child.
