Posted February 4, 2014

The Idaho State University Chapter of Sigma Xi will host a Science Café on Wednesday Feb. 5 at 5:30 p.m. in the loft of the Portneuf Valley Brewing located at 615 S. 1st Ave.

The topic is “Maps! Visualizing and understanding the world using maps.” The community is invited to attend this free event, which will feature a panel comprised of ISU history visiting Assistant Professor Rob Edsall, history Assistant Professor Yolonda Youngs and ISU biological sciences Professor Charles Peterson.

Science Café is an event designed to help the public connect with science. Scientists and engineers informally share their research during a conversational exchange in a friendly setting. Through working with key partners, encouraging members to participate and supporting its chapters, Sigma Xi continues to be at the forefront of promoting and supporting Science Cafés around the country.
