The Idaho State University Department of Art will host an opening reception for two exhibitions on Friday, Jan. 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the ISU Fine Arts Building.
"We are excited to have a second opening of the Annual Faculty Art Exhibition for anyone who was unable to attend the opening last semester," said Amy Jo Popa, Davis Gallery Director. "In conjunction with the faculty art Exhibition we will be hosting an exhibition of a portfolio of prints titled 'PUSH/PULL' in the Compartment Gallery on the fourth floor of the Fine Arts Building, in Room 408."
The "PUSH/PULL" exhibition is an exchange involving 22 students and faculty from Boise State University and Idaho State University, initiated by Erika Sather-Smith of BSU and coordinated by ISU Art Professor Scott Evans. Each print in the portfolio is printed on equally sized pieces of paper and each investigates the concept of "PUSH/PULL" compositionally as well as conceptually.
Both exhibitions will be on display until Jan. 25. The gallery hours for both exhibitions are Monday- Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For more information on these exhibitions contact Amy Jo Popa, John B. Davis Galley director, at 282-3341. An elevator and stair access will accommodate those interested in viewing both exhibitions.
Faculty represented in the Annual Faculty Art Exhibition include Naomi Adams, Scott Evans, Andrea Jensen, Linda Leeuwrik, Anthony Martin, Amy Jo Popa and Doug Warnock.
Adjunct faculty represented include Ryan Babcock, Joanna Cleveland, Juliet Feige, Anne Kratz, Lynne Parker and Lou Pirro.
