“When Giants Roamed” exhibit brings historic Idaho mammals back to life at the Idaho Museum of Natural History
The Idaho Museum of Natural History on the Idaho State University campus is opening a thrilling new exhibit that will showcase some of the giant mammals that lived in Idaho during the last three million years. “When Giants Roamed” opens to the public on July 1, with a special event on July 5 from 3 to 5 p.m. (more…)
The Idaho Museum of Natural History at Idaho State University will offer fun, educational opportunities for children this summer in its Vacation Exploration program for children in pre-k through third, and fourth through sixth grades, and will offer one adult class.
All classes will meet at the Idaho Museum of Natural History, located at Dillon Street and South Fifth Avenue on the campus of Idaho State University in Pocatello. Some classes are field trips and some will be held at the museum.

Idaho State University officially broke ground June 24 on The L.S. and Aline W. Skaggs Treasure Valley Anatomy and Physiology Laboratories (TVAPL) at the ISU-Meridian Health Science Center, 1311 E. Central Drive.

Bengal Pharmacy, LLC, owned by the Idaho State University Foundation, opened Idaho’s first-ever full-service telepharmacy on June 20 in Arco, Idaho. The pharmacy, in partnership with the Lost Rivers Medical Center, will utilize innovative technology to provide critical health care access to one of the state’s many rural communities, while also providing hands-on experience for ISU’s pharmacy students. As a result of an ongoing security assessment, Idaho State University will begin implementing additional safety and security measures across the ISU system. This is expected to be a multiphase process, which will initially include arming highly-trained, on-campus University officers. (more…)
The eighth annual Blake Stephens Foosball Tournament will be June 22 at 2 p.m. at Hooligans in Pocatello.
The event, which raises scholarship money for student veterans attending Idaho State University, honors local Army soldier Sgt. Blake Stephens who was killed in Iraq in 2007 by a roadside bomb. Stephens often played foosball at the local establishment. (more…)
For the first time at Idaho State University, the School of Performing Arts and the College of Arts and Letters will hold the Summer Institute for Piano and Strings where advanced music students in grades 8 through 12 will learn, rehearse and perform music from ISU’s faculty from June 23 to 27.
