ISU holiday card contest open to undergraduate, graduate students; top prize $1,000, deadline for entry is Oct. 14
Idaho State University undergraduate and graduate students can enter a contest to create the design for this year's ISU holiday card. The contest winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize, the runner-up a $500 cash prize. The winning entry will appear on the University holiday card, which is sent to thousands of University family members and supporters. (more…)
Idaho State University will honor current faculty, alumni and supporters with awards during 2013 Homecoming.
Recipients will be honored at the President's Alumni Recognition Dinner at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at the Red Lion Hotel in Pocatello, 1555 Pocatello Creek Road. The Idaho State University occupational therapy program will host its annual CarFit event at the Holt Arena parking lot in Pocatello Monday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Entering its 31st year, the I Love ISU campaign will feature teams of community members and Idaho State University faculty and staff making calls to raise ISU scholarship funds Sept. 16-19.
"This campaign raises scholarship funds from local donors to provide for local college students," said Teresa Borrenpohl, ISU assistant director of Alumni Relations and director of the I Love ISU campaign. (more…)
Idaho State University's national champion rodeo team will host the ISU Bengal Round-Up Rodeo this weekend. Beginning Thursday, Sept. 12, and continuing Friday and Saturday, the rodeo team will begin defending their title at the Bannock County Fairgrounds.
Thursday and Friday performances will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday's event will be at 5:30 p.m. Slack will be at 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Tickets will cost $5 for adults, and are free for ISU students, staff and faculty. Children’s admission is free.

Finding evidence to verify what nurses already know from their everyday experience is the topic of an Idaho State University nursing professor's new study.
Mary Anne Reynolds' one-year descriptive study on palliative care was funded by the American Nurses Foundation for $5,000. Palliative care is the specialized medical treatment for people with limiting and potentially life-ending illnesses. (more…)
