A national website has selected the Idaho State University-Meridian Health Science Center as one of the top 10 branch campuses in the nation for 2013.
Thebestcolleges.org cited ISU-Meridian for its annual Health Science Experience Night, free Community Health Screenings for uninsured adults, and its affiliation with The CORE, an economic development corridor that creates core competencies in the state for health and health-related research. Idaho researchers earn grant for high-tech tools to study watersheds; Idaho State University among participants
MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho researchers, including those from Idaho State University, are joining with scientists in Nevada and New Mexico to study watersheds in the western United States with the help of advanced computer simulations.
The National Science Foundation has awarded the states a grant for a three-year project to analyze, visualize and explore watersheds. Idaho’s $2 million share of the $6 million award will be managed by the statewide Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research, or EPSCoR, which brings together the University of Idaho, Boise State University, Idaho State University and many of the state's two- and four-year higher education institutions. Idaho State University’s JoAnn Gurenlian inducted president of International Federation of Dental Hygienists
Idaho State University's JoAnn Gurenlian, professor and graduate program director for dental hygiene, will be installed as the president of the International Federation of Dental Hygienists at Cape Town, South Africa in August.
"It is truly a pleasure and a great honor to be selected to represent the IFDH and to support the mission of the association over the next three years," Gurenlian said.
