ISU Anderson Center’s LUNAFEST 2013 festival of short films set March 7 in Pocatello, March 13 in Idaho Falls
The Idaho State University Anderson Gender Resource Center will pleased to screen LUNAFEST 2013, a festival of nine short films by, for and about women, on March 7 in Pocatello and March 13 in Idaho Falls.

Idaho State University Wind Ensemble Concert Feb. 22 includes premiere performance of composition by ISU’s Randy Earles
The Idaho State University Wind Ensemble will perform its first concert of the semester Friday, Feb. 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the Stephens Performing Arts Center.

"Once a Bengal, always a Bengal" rings true for many alumni from Idaho State, but perhaps not more so than for Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis.
Before Lewis was coaching NFL teams and earning Coach of the Year honors, he, too, roamed the hallways of Garrison Hall, played for the Bengals in Holt Arena and went fly fishing with teammates in the Teton Mountains. (more…)

Celebrate Idaho State event March 19 expanded to include Idaho Science and Engineering Festival, Tech Expo
The third annual Celebrate Idaho State, a CommUniversity event, will feature more than 100 groups providing a variety of free food, entertainment, art, culture, information, and scientific displays and demonstrations from 4 to 7 p.m. March 19 at the ISU Pond Student Union.
This year's event incorporates the Idaho Science and Engineering Festival and the Idaho State University College of Technology's Tech Expo evening program. (more…)

Learn how to talk about science with your neighbors or the news media at a free workshop, Wednesday, May 29, at Boise State University.
Faculty, staff and students on all ISU campuses are invited to attend. A limited number of travel scholarships are available to attendees outside the Boise area. Click here to apply for a scholarship and to view the program flyer.
The purpose of the workshop – titled Science: Becoming the Messenger – is to help the higher education community improve skills for communicating science to a public audience. It's intended for principal investigators, early-career scientists and engineers, students, postdoctoral scholars, deans, vice presidents, and public information officers, according to organizers. Presenters include bestselling science journalist Chris Mooney and Emmy-award winning producer Joe Schreiber.
The National Science Foundation and Idaho NSF EPSCoR are sponsoring the event. You don't have to be a member of the NSF or EPSCoR to attend.

A special free screening and panel discussion of the new documentary film "Grow!" will be held from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Feb. 21 in the Idaho State University Pond Student Union Salmon River Room.
This award-winning film chronicles the experiences of 20 young farmers in the state of Georgia who explain what inspires them to work the land. The film raises awareness of sustainable agriculture and the level of environmental activism among the Millennial Generation. (more…)
