Idaho State University will break ground on a new veterans' memorial Monday, Oct. 24, at Cadet Field.
The memorial, which has been in the planning process for two years, is moving forward thanks to Premier Technology of Blackfoot. Premier has agreed to donate concrete and engineering expertise for the project. The Armed Forces Veterans' Club-Pocatello will provide the labor during the construction of the memorial. (more…)

Idaho State University is continuing its "Be Advised" campaign to encourage students to reap the benefits of good advising prior to registering for spring classes in November.
"Students should meet with their advisor prior to each registration period to understand program requirements, check their progress towards graduation, learn of updates or changes to department or university requirements, and determine the best course of action for their situation," said JoAnn Hertz, director of ISU Central Academic Advising. The Anderson Gender Resource Center at Idaho State University, through a grant from the Department of Health and Welfare, is inviting the public to a free film screening, followed by a panel discussion on the topic of sex education in high schools.
The screening and discussion will be held Thursday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. in the Rendezvous Suites A,B,C on the ISU campus. The event is free and open to all. (more…)
