“Big Dance/Little Spaces” dance performances set Jan. 29 in Old Town Pocatello

Callous Physical Theatre directed by Idaho State University theatre/dance faculty Paul Zmolek and Joséphine A. Garibaldi, will present "Big Dance/Little Space" a festival of dance performed on a five feet by five feet stage in Old Town Actors Studio, at 7:30 p.m, Jan. 29-30.

The studio is located at 427 N. Main St., Suite G, inside the Main Street Plaza in Pocatello. Admission is $10. (more…)

ISU to present Community Cinema Screening of film “Garbage Dreams” on Jan. 19

The Community Cinema Screening of the film "Garbage Dreams" will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 19 in the Idaho State University Pond Student Union Building Bengal Theater.

The free viewing is open to the public and there is free parking on campus after 4 p.m. An audience discussion about what we can do to increase recycling in our own environment will follow the film. (more…)

Bengal Dancers to present National Farewell Performance Jan. 11

The Idaho State University Bengal Dancers will present a Nationals Farewell Performance on Monday, Jan. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Reed Gymnasium.

Tickets are $3 at the door.  The ISU Bengal Dancers will perform their 2009 national competition routines that they will be competing with at the Universal Dance Association Collegiate Championship (UDA) held in Orlando, Fla., Jan. 16-17. (more…)

Country singer Jason Aldean to perform at ISU Holt Arena March 21

Country singer Jason Aldean with special guest Luke Bryan will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 21, in the Idaho State University Holt Arena as part of Aldean's WIDE OPEN 2010 Tour.

After a quick, 14-week ascent to the top, Aldean’s GOLD-certified single "Big Green Tractor" spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart. He is the only artist to hold the No. 1 position for four straight weeks in more than 18 months.  (more…)

ISU Africa Night 2010 welcomes community Jan. 23

The Idaho State University African Student Association invites the whole community to experience the beautiful and exuberant culture of Africa at ISU Africa Night 2010. It will be held Saturday, Jan. 23, in the Pond Student Union Ballroom.

The annual event will run from 6:30 to about 9 p.m. This year's theme is "Welcome Friends" showcasing the rich traditional and contemporary culture of Africa. (more…)
