Fisheries, river ecology films to be shown Jan. 30 at PSUB

Lane, Neiwirth to perform Bach, Copland and Mahler

Mezzo-soprano Kathleen A. Lane of the ISU Music Department will present a recital of songs by J. S. Bach, Aaron Copland and Gustav Mahler Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall, Stephens Performing Arts Center. General admission is $5, $3 for ISU faculty and staff, and free to ISU students showing a current Bengal Card. (more…)

‘Idaho Business Leader of the Year’ Luke to be honored Feb. 26

Arlo D. Luke, CEO of Varsity Contractors, Inc., will be recognized as “Idaho Business Leader of the Year” at the annual banquet of the Delta Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi, the professional business fraternity at Idaho State University.

The banquet will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center in Pocatello.  (more…)

Africa Night 2008 welcomes community on Jan. 26

The African students of Idaho State University invite the whole community to share in their fun and culture. But Africa Night also has a more serious side.

“Our theme this year is to recognize the achievements and successes of all African alums across the United States. and will honor them on Jan. 26,” said ISU African Student Association president Moses Okeyo. “Many of our African alumni are achieving at the highest possible levels using the education they received from ISU, many are pharmacists, professors, dentists, accomplished researchers and medical school students.” (more…)

ISU drafting program receives software totaling $690,000

The Idaho State University Computer Aided Design Drafting Technology program recently received 23 licenses/seats from Design Data for SDS/2 (Steel Design and Detail Software) to be used in training future graduates. With each seat retailing at $30,000 the total value of this donation to the program is $690,000. (more…)
