The Idaho Museum of Natural History at Idaho State University will be offering classes to K-sixth grade students this fall.
There are two main programs: the Museum Rangers and the Art of Natural History.
Museum Rangers uses fun hands-on activities and behind-the-scenes tours to offer children the chance to learn about the different aspects of museum work. The Art of Natural History will allow kids to explore their creative side with natural history themed arts and crafts.
Museum Rangers classes are $20 per class and the Art of History classes are $25 each. A full class schedule is listed below. (more…)
New Special Collections Exhibit at Idaho University Oboler Library showcases University during first three decades
Idaho State University’s special collections department in the Oboler Library is now featuring the display “From Academy to Southern Branch.”
The exhibition was set up by student Matt Shugert, senior, who wanted people to see what the university was like when it first opened in 1901. (more…)

Idaho State University students will again have a chance to win a Bengal-painted car and other great prizes, plus enjoy free food, music and a variety of booths and entertainment during the fifth annual “Welcome Back Orange and Black” from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 25 in Old Town Pocatello.
The prize drawing will be held at 6 p.m.
“This event has grown every year we’ve held it and is only getting bigger, better and more fun,” said Valorie Watkins, event organizer. “The entire community looks forward to welcoming students back to the Idaho State University Pocatello campus.
