Idaho State University will host Indian Night 2013 on Nov. 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Student Union Building Ballroom.

The Idaho State University School of Performing Arts dance program will present “Bare Bones: Dance ISU in Concert” on Oct. 31, Nov. 1, 2, and 4 at 7:30 p.m. inside the Bistline Theatre at the Stephens Performing Arts Center. Idaho State University to host Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions Nov. 16; four ISU students auditioning

Idaho State University will host the Metropolitan Opera National Council district audition, which is the preliminary tryout for the most prestigious opera company in the United States, on Nov. 16.

The auditions, open to public, will be held Saturday, Nov. 16, beginning at 10 a.m., in the Joseph C. and Cheryl H. Jensen Grand Concert Hall of the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center. (more…)

Idaho State University will host Opera Week in mid-November; highlights include MET auditions, Idaho Opera performance

Highlights of Idaho State University’s mid-November Opera Week include a performance by Idaho Opera and ISU hosting the Metropolitan Opera National Council District Auditions.

On Nov. 14, Idaho State University’s Season of Note concert series will host Opera Idaho’s production of Mozart’s “Le nozze di Figaro” at Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the Stephens Performing Arts Center. This will be the first time a full-length opera has been presented in the hall. “Figar” will be sung in Italian with English supertitles. (more…)
