The Idaho State-Civic Symphony will perform its final concert of the season at 7:30 p.m. April 24 in the Idaho State University Stephens Performing Arts Center Jensen Grand Concert Hall.

ISU music students to premiere composition at Percussion Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra Concert on April 16
Two Idaho State University music students will have the world premiere of their composition at the Percussion Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra Concert on April 16 at 7:30 p.m. in Goranson Hall.
Kylle Strunk and Jedd Greenhalgh, both sophomores, wrote the composition “The Box” after the Greek Myth of Pandora’s Box. The composition is made into four movements, each representing Pandora’s curiosity, and the seven deadly sins – greed, pride, sloth, gluttony, lust, envy and wrath. Each movement has a different style of music and uses instruments differently. (more…)
Idaho State University’s School of Performing Arts will perform “Musical of Musicals (The Musical!)” beginning on April 17 in the Stephens Performing Arts Center’s Rogers Black Box Theatre at 7:30 p.m.

Auditions for the Cole Porter Broadway musical “Anything Goes” will be held April 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. and April 4 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Bistline Theatre at the Stephens Performing Arts Center.

The fifth annual Celebrate Idaho State, a CommUniversity event, will feature more than 100 groups providing a variety of free food, entertainment, art, culture, information, and scientific displays and demonstrations Tuesday, March 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the ISU Pond Student Union.

Idaho State University College of Arts and Letters Gala raises more than $48,000 for student scholarships
The Idaho State University College of Arts and Letters raised more than $48,000 for student scholarships at the second annual New Year’s Eve Gala, and nearly doubled attendance from last year’s event.
The Gala was held at the Stephens Performing Arts Center and used most of the buildings unique space. Idaho State University students provided entertainment throughout the evening, and all $48,000 raised will be used for student scholarships in the fine arts and humanities. (more…)
