TO ALL FACULTY AND STAFF:
As per Governor Otter's Executive Order 2011-03, State of Idaho agencies and institutions (which includes Idaho State University) we are prohibited from accepting Federal funds or providing resources or other assistance (in any form including Grants/Contracts) for the implementation of the "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act".
Executive Order 2011-03 also indicates there is a process for seeking a waiver.
In order for the Office of Sponsored Programs to begin the review of a proposal to any funding opportunity that involves the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, verification from the Governor’s Office of an approved waiver of Executive Order 2011-03 must accompany said proposal. We strongly recommend getting this waiver earlier in the proposal development stage, so that you do not invest time into a project that will not be approved for submission. As mentioned above, absolutely must have the approved waiver before we can submit a proposal.
