Graduate Student Association
The Graduate Student Association (GSA) is a newly formed ASISU club whose purpose is to support the Graduate School and Graduate Education in:
- Recruiting graduate students;
- Welcoming new graduate students to campus;
- Mentoring and serving as role models for new graduate students;
- Promoting academic persistence and degree completion among graduate students;
- Encouraging graduate student networking opportunities;
- Encouraging discussion and debate of issues affecting graduate students;
- Promoting and encouraging graduate student research;
- Raising awareness of graduate student needs to ASISU and others;
- Encouraging creativity and engagement in and among graduate students at local, national and international levels;
- Recognizing outstanding accomplishments of graduate students;
- Acknowledging individuals and groups who provide extraordinary support to graduate students and/or to the Graduate Student Association; and
- Promoting an intellectually stimulating atmosphere for graduate students.

Office of Research Listserv
The ISU Graduate School and the Office of Research invite you to subscribe to the "Grad student funding info listserv". This listserv will provide you with periodic email messages about funding opportunities for graduate students. This will include opportunities for research funding, travel funds, and fellowships, among others. The announcements will usually contain contact information so that you will know how to obtain more information about each opportunity.
At this page you will enter your email address, your name (optional) and select a password. You will also be able to indicate if you want to receive the messages in a daily digest. (This means that once a day, you will receive a message with all of the messages posted for the day. We will try to limit the postings to no more than one a day, so you should not be bombarded by emails.) Then click "subscribe."
You will receive an email asking you to reply to that message to indicate that you do want to be included in the list. Reply to that message and you will be subscribed to the list.
