As specified in ISU's institutional
governance structure, the Chair of the Faculty Senate chairs the meetings of the Senate; deals with the
business of the Senate between Senate meetings; informs the Faculty
Senate membership of policy changes, legislative activity, agendas of
the State Board of Education, and other matters pertaining to academic
welfare of the University; meets with the President of the University
as required; coordinates the work of the Councils
and Committees that report to the Senate; and represents the ISU
faculty on campus, on relevant standing and ad hoc committees, in the
meetings of the State Board of Education, and in the Idaho Council of
Higher Education Faculties.
