FPPC Meeting Minutes December 6, 2000

Present: Beard(Chair), Bhushan, Campbell, Egger, Hatzenbuehler, Hitchcock,

Jacobson, McWhirter, Laquer, Miller, Pumphrey, Ronald, Watson

Absent: All present

I. Minutes of November 15, 2000 were approved 10-0-0 with corrections. Will

forward to Faculty Senate for approval.

II. Reports

A. The council discussed a meeting time for next semester. The council agreed to

meet January 11, 2001 from 2:00-4:00. The council will make a decision at

that meeting which day will be best to meet for next semester.

III. Business

:

A. The council reviewed the draft proposal most of the meeting. There

was discussion on why the draft proposal was under annual evaluations.

The council could not agree on this issue of where the changes should be

made, some council members want something written in the Faculty Staff

Handbook for PTR and others want the proposal changes to stay under annual

review in the Handbook. The council discussed this at length and decided to

not vote on the draft at this meeting.

B. This was the last meeting of the semester, so Beard will make changes on the

draft proposal and the council will discuss changes made next semester.
