Revisit Distinguished Professor draft policy -
Faculty Senate referred
the draft policy back to the council stating that the award should be rare and
questioned the amount of service at ISU.

Tenure and Promotion draft policy for Research Faculty -
Faculty Senate forwarded a draft policy
written by Dr. Larry Ford from the Research Coordinating Council. It was the view of the senate that this issue
belongs in the Faculty Professional Policies Council purview.
Discussion: Egger recalls the F/S Handbook does not
recognize research faculty as eligible to receive tenure. The secretary will forward the portion of the
handbook to the council members as well as the Faculty Senate minutes of
November 14, 2005 detailing the draft policy as presented to the senate.
