I.
Business:
1. Revise ISU
workload policy to insure greater flexibility for time-specific, semi-
specialization in
scholarship/research/creative activities, teaching or service.
The only written workload policies are
from the colleges of Engineering and Business.
Discussion: faculty life-cycles and expected workloads. A “portfolio” approach may
work best. Upon
closer examination, there seems to be enough generality in the written
policies and it was hoped that the other colleges would
provide a written document soon.
Rhodes will forward proposed changes to
council members.
Adamcik will read through the
accreditation report for specific recommendations.
2. Establish rank
of Distinguished Professor – item was not taken off of the table.
3. The next
meeting will be held on Friday, February 18 at 3:00.
