FPPC Meeting Minutes of April 27, 2001

Present: Beard (Chair), Bhushan, Jacobson, Leung, Laquer, Miller, Ronald

Absent: Campbell (excused), Egger (excused), Hatzenbuehler (excused), Hitchcock

(excused)

I. Minutes of April 6, 2001 and April 20, 2001 were approved 7-0-0, with

amendments.

II. Business

A. The council discussed the most recent draft Beard modified. The council did review

the draft to make to refine changes. The council has made much progress on the topic

of ‘adjunct’ non-tenure tracks.

B. The council voted on chair for next year.

Action: Moved by Ronald and seconded by Bhushan to appoint David Beard for one

more year as Chair of the Faculty Professional Policies Council for 2001-2002. Passed

unanimously with a count of 7-0-0.
