FPPC Meeting Minutes of April 6, 2001
Present: Beard (Chair), Campbell, Hatzenbuehler, Hitchcock, Jacobson, Laquer, Leung,

Absent: Bhushan (excused), Egger (excused), Pumphrey (excused)
I. Minutes of March 30, 2001 were approved with amendments.
A. The council discussed ‘Adjunct’ and decided
that certain faculty members still
qualify
under this category. The council will
create another draft that will make
a
distinction between ‘Adjunct’ and ‘Lecturer’.
The council decided that there
were
too many categories in the Faculty/Staff Handbook for associate, assistant,
adjunct,
and visiting faculty positions. The
council will modify some portions of
Part
4, Section III, and remove some of the faculty titles. Beard will bring a new
draft
to the next meeting.
