CULTURAL EVENTS COMMITTEE

The new Cultural Events Committee was formed in Fall 2012 to take over the functions of the former Cultural Affairs Council in administering its internal grant funds. This new committee operates under the auspices of the College of Arts & Letters. However, the Mini-Grant and Large Grant programs remain the same as before. For more information about the grant programs, click here or on the Grant Information link on the left side of this page.

Overview

The Cultural Events Committee is responsible for recommending University policy and procedures governing public programs, lectures and exhibits sponsored by the University, and to bring together the University and Idaho communities into a rich cultural center of activities. By sponsoring events that feature visual and performing artists and speakers, it becomes a link between many people of different backgrounds but with a common interest. The Committee has two grant programs that are used to help sponsor appropriate events.

Areas of Concern:

  • Mini-Grant program and Large Grant Program
  • Lectures
  • Concerts
  • Exhibits
  • Community Cultural liaison
