A. Goal Course assessment -
Adkison stated that all of the goal course assessments have been completed and are in place. He is waiting on materials from the Dean of Arts & Sciences. There will not be a need to reassess the goals unless they change. He had positive feedback from the accreditation team on the assessments.
B. Classroom renovations –
Nothing was done over the summer due to construction on campus.
A. Review of departmental Annual Assessment reports -
Alan Egger, Interim Director of Office of Institutional Research, requested assistance from the council to implement a review of the university program assessment plans. He would like to begin a process to better handle the reports as they come to the research office. It is anticipated that Faculty Senate will charge the Council with this effort.
Action: Moved by Adkison and seconded by Devaud to charge the subcommittee for goal assessments to assist the Office of Institutional Research with review and examination of the program assessment plans and annual reports, and to discuss and define the Council’s role in this endeavor. Passed unanimously.
B. Classroom renovation project –
Smith, Nuhfer, and Barbara Adamcik are meeting with Dr. Lawson on Wednesday, November 03, 2004 to begin the project again this academic year.
