COUNCIL FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING

MINUTES

Place: Faculty Senate Room, Red Hill Building

Present: Dean (chair), Adkison, Das, House, Kruger, Kunicki, Packer, Plewa, Sato

Absent: McKnight (excused), Montgomery, Reynolds, Squires, Wabrek

1. It was established that a quorum was present.

2. Sato brought the bylaws back from Faculty Senate for corrections. Kunicki will

submit the corrected bylaws to the Faculty Senate on March 11.

Action: Moved by Packer and seconded by Sato to complete corrections of

bylaws as per Faculty Senate request. Passed unanimously.

3. Introduction of Dr. Michael Theall, a candidate for the position of Director for

Teaching and Learning. Dr. Theall is currently the Director for the Center for

Teaching and Learning a UI, Springfield and Associate Professor in Liberal Studies a

UI, Springfield.

A series of questions and answers took place as to get a background from Dr. Theall.

Lunch was served from Chartwells provided by the Council for Teaching and

Learning. Packer thanked those responsible for the luncheon.
