Council Actions & General Information
October 1, 2008:
The Council voted to recommend that the new Banner software system require Prerequisite and Co-requisite checking when students register for classes. That recommendation was subsequently approved by Faculty Senate on October 13th, and has been forwarded to Academic Council for consideration by the Deans and Office of Academic Affairs.
The pros and cons of wait-listing for closed classes and possible options for customizing wait lists are currently under discussion.
The Council formed two subcommittees: the ISU Transcript Credit Policies Subcommittee will review and recommend changes to the policies governing the granting of ISU credits. The Admissions Requirements Subcommittee is tasked with reevaluating ISU's admissions policies.
