Freshman

You are a Freshman if:

• you have not enrolled in another college or university after graduating from high school, or
• you have less than 14 transferable credits

Admission Requirements

High School Graduates

High school graduates seeking assured admissions will meet the following requirements.

1. Completed Undergraduate Application.
2. Received 2.5 or better cumulative GPA.
3. Received test scores meeting the following:
   • Math score of at least 18 on ACT or 490 on SAT,
   • English score of at least 18 on ACT or 500 on SAT writing exam.
4. Idaho high school graduates must meet all Idaho Core Requirements.
5. Paid $40 application fee.

Please note: An Idaho student will be evaluated for completion of the Idaho Core Requirements once a final high school transcript is received. Also, a student may be granted automatic conditional admission if they are short in only one or two Idaho core classes but still meet the above criteria.

Conditional Admission: Students with a GPA of 2.25 and at least 12 on ACT or 270 on SAT can be admitted on the condition that they meet other requirements while attending.

Admission Requirements for College of Technology (professional technical programs)

1. Complete the College of Technology Application
2. Submit a high school transcript or GED
3. Submit COMPASS/ACT/SAT test scores

Admission Requirements for Home School & GED Graduates

Home school and GED graduates seeking assured admissions will meet the following requirements.

1. Completed Undergraduate Application.
2. Passing score on the GED.
3. Received test scores meeting the following:
   • Composite score of at least 21 on ACT or 1050 combined SAT Math and Critical Reading score,
   • Math score of at least 18 on ACT or 490 on SAT,
   • English score of at least 18 on ACT or 500 on SAT writing exam.
4. Paid $40 application fee.

Conditional Admission: Students with a composite score of at least 20 on ACT or a 1000 combined SAT Math and Critical Reading score, Math score of at least 12 on ACT or 270 on SAT, English score of at least 12 on ACT or 340 on the SAT writing exam. can be admitted on the condition that they meet other requirements while attending.
