Fall Semester 2009
Tuition and Fee Payment Information
Fee processing for Fall 2009 will begin in early July 2009. Bills and TranPay were sent to students at their permanent address beginning July 22. Students who pre-register after August 14, 2009 should either request a bill at 282-3000 or attend in-person registration August 20, 21, 24, or 25. Students should check on the web site or in-person to verify fee payment and registration in classes. Payments made by employers or other sponsoring agencies usually require students to sign and return the TranPay form to complete the payment process and avoid late fees.
An Orientation fee of $35 is assessed to all new degree-seeking undergraduate students. All new students should plan to attend the orientation program the week before classes begin. More information concerning cost of attendance can be found here.
Financial Aid processing begins August 15, 2009, for students that return their TranPay forms by August 14, 2009. Receipts and change checks from these early transactions will be delivered only by mail. If you wish to pick up your change check personally, do not send your TranPay to us. You must attend in-person registration and fee payment in the PSUB ballroom.
Fee loans are available for Fall Semester beginning August 20 at in-person registration through September 8 (subject to late fees). Fee loans require a 25% down payment (40% down payment may be required based on prior credit history at the University,) with the balance due November 2, 2009. A non-refundable $25 processing charge is assessed for the fee loan. Interest and penalties accrue if the loan is not repaid in full by the November 2 interest-free due date. Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, and Boise offices also offer fee loans.
Fees are due Tuesday, August 25. If you will be attending ISU this fall please arrange to complete fee payment by August 25. If you will not be attending this fall, please drop the classes, making them available to students who will be attending. The general disenrollment will not occur until September 11th, so classes will only be released in time for others to add if classes are dropped by the students who do not plan to attend.
A $50 late handling fee will be charged to students paying fees Wednesday, August 26 through Tuesday, September 8. Students not paying fees by September 11th will also be disenrolled from classes.
Late registration and/or fee payment after September 8 is by permission only. A late registration petition will be required of those students who have not paid fees by Tuesday, September 8, 2009, and a $100 late fee will be charged.

Student Health Insurance Information
Required Coverage: Health insurance coverage is mandatory for full-time students at ISU. [The Idaho State Board of Education changed the definition of full-time (from 8 credits) to 12 credits or 9 graduate credits or more.] Students who document personal health insurance coverage can have the insurance premium of $647 waived. To document the insurance coverage on-line, log on to http://my.isu.edu and go to the link for Charges/Fees/Awards/Insurance and waive the insurance before paying fees.
Optional Coverage: With the change in definition of full-time enrollment, instead of having insurance required at 8 credits, the insurance coverage will be required if students are subject to full-time fees at 9 graduate credits or 12 total credits. Students taking 10 or 11 credits will pay part-time fees at the full-time rate (since the credit hour rate would be more than the full-time rate). Student insurance for these students paying credit hour fees at the full-time rate can be requested optionally, and the premium for the optional coverage will be $776 per semester.
