Financial Aid

Summer Session 2011

Pell Grants, other grants and loan programs may be available on a very limited basis. Summer session financial aid is unique in awarding from fall and spring semesters. Summer Direct Loans are limited to a student's remaining eligibility from the 2010-2011 academic year. The work study program is not available during summer session.

Enrollment requirements for summer remain the same as the fall and spring semesters:

Note: Any classes added after the "census date" will not count toward determining your Pell Grant eligibility. The census date for summer session is the last day to add/drop in the early four week session (May 20, 2011 for summer 2011) or the date of disbursement for students who are awarded after that date.

How to Apply

  1. Students must file the 2010/2011 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have not filed the FAFSA, you may do so at www.fafsa.gov.
  2. Submit the 2010/2011 Summer Supplement Form to ISU Financial Aid Office.
Form is also available at our front desk.
  3. Students must be registered in their summer course work before they will be considered for summer assistance.

Return your Summer Supplement Form to the Financial Aid Office early for best consideration of limited programs.

Check your 2010/2011 summer status on the Finance tab in BengalWeb, (Financial Aid Requirements and Accept My Financial Aid).
