Financial Aid for Summer Session 2008
Summer session financial aid is unique from fall and spring semesters. Summer aid is limited to a student's remaining Pell Grant and Direct Loan eligibility from the 2007-2008 academic year. Other grant and loan programs may be available on a very limited basis. The work study program is not available during summer session.
Enrollment requirements for summer remain the same as the fall and spring semesters:
- Half-time enrollment is 6 credits for undergraduate and applied tech students. Full time enrollment is 12 or more credits.
- Graduate students need 5 credits for half-time enrollment and 9 credits for full time enrollment.
How to Apply
- ISU must have received your 2007-2008 Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have not filed the FAFSA, you may do so at www.fafsa.ed.gov
- Complete the 2008 Summer Supplement Form which will be available on February 29, 2008, and submit to the ISU Financial Aid Office.
- Academic students must be preregistered in their summer course work before they will be considered for summer assistance. College of Technology students are not required to preregister.
Return your Summer Supplement Form to the Financial Aid Office early for best consideration of limited programs.
Summer awarding will begin in late March.
Check the Summer Semester web site often for the latest information on workshops, camps, and summer events.
