Looking for your Fall 2009 Financial Aid?
Once you have registered for spring semester classes, you will see an amount due for your class fees. Here is when you can expect financial aid to be applied towards that amount at Financial Services.
The first day of class is August 25, 2009.
Disbursement of Financial Aid is 10 days prior, August 15, 2009.
This disbursement date is accurate, if ALL of the statements below are true...
- You completed a 2009-2010 FAFSA on or before June 1, 2009.
- You have no outstanding document requests. See your MyISU.
- Your first class begins the week of August 25, 2009 (Others with later classes, your aid is scheduled to disburse 10 days before your first class begins).
- You have completed and returned a TranPay
with the Office of Finance & Administration by one of the follow means:
- return a TranPay by August 14, 2009 to Financial Services (Administration Bldg) - TranPays processed August 15th.
- at In-Person Registration & Fee Payment August 20, 21 & 24, 2009.
- Your 2009-2010 financial aid is visible on your MyISU.
- You have completed the Online Loan Entrance Counseling & Electronic Master Promissory Note by August 12, 2009 for the Direct Loans you have accepted (applies to new federal loan borrower).
- You are registered for enough credits for the type of aid you will be receiving:
- At least half-time enrollment for Federal Direct Student Loans
- 12 or more credits to receive the full amount of Federal Pell Grants.
- Federal Pell grants are reduced when you are enrolled in fewer than 12 credits
- 12 or more credits for Perkins Loans
- 12 or more credits for Federal ACG or SMART Grants
If your Financial Aid is not ready you may qualify for
a Fee Loan from Financial Services
and/or a Short Term Book Loan.
Caution: Check to see how much of your semester fees are paid by your awarded Financial Aid! If there is a balance owing, you need to make plans or arrangements to pay the difference at In-Person Registration and Fee Payment. (ISU Financial Services has a Fee Loan available for qualifying students.)
Borrowers with Financial Aid Approved, but not yet Available...
- Request a "Reduction of Tuition Fee Loan down payment" from the Office of Financial Aid
- Waiver is for 25% of Tuition and Fees (Borrower must pay 15% if required to pay 40% down payment)
- Waiver not valid for borrower coded Cash Only
Borrowers with Financial Aid/Scholarship that does not Cover Fees...
- All available financial aid used as down payment
- Processing fee added to Fee Loan
- Payoff by interest free due date
Grades will be checked for students who have existing Satisfactory Academic Progress Holds once posting is completed by the Registrar Office. For those student who regain financial aid eligibility, please notify the Financial Aid Office to have your spring aid reinstated.
