Expecting 2009/2010 Financial Aid????
After you have applied for FAFSA
Haven't received your money yet?
After you have applied for your Financial Aid through FAFSA Web site....
- The FAFSA Processor will send you an email message after they have processed your application and sent it to your schools (for award determination and verification).
- If you haven't received an email, return to the FAFSA web site to check the status of your application. You will need your FAFSA PIN Number.
- Carefully read your Student Aid Report (SAR) to verify that your application has not been delayed or rejected.
- You will find the SAR in your email from the processor.
- Access it through the FAFSA web site. (Preferred method)
- If you filed a paper FAFSA, you may have received the SAR in the mail. You can return this corrected form to the processor with student signature. (Include the parents signature if student is dependent.)
- You can also telephone a request for a SAR to be mailed to you by calling 1-800-433-3243.
- If your FAFSA has been rejected or delayed, you will need to make corrections to it before the school can process it.
- A common rejection or delay is for missing signatures or blank fields.
- Correct these errors by following the specific instruction listed directly on your Student Aid Report.
- Make sure you have entered Idaho State University's School Code correctly - 001620
- Make updates to your income if you completed your FAFSA originally using estimated tax amounts.
