Greetings from Student Affairs

Student Affairs is an odd name for a Division that oversees a wonderful array of activities and programs that support students and take place outside of the classroom. We provide services related to:

  1. Students' health and well-being (e.g., Counseling and Testing, Campus Recreation and Intramurals, Student Health Center, Anderson Gender Resource Center, Outdoor Adventure Center).
  2. Traditional campus life and activities (e.g., Student Unions, Student Organizations, Associated Students of ISU [ASISU], New Student Orientation, Leadership Programs.
  3. Other basic and technical services that support students in their academic endeavors on campus (e.g., ADA and Disabilities Resource Center, University Housing; Food Service, Student Conduct Administration, TRiO Student Services, Campus Daycare).

Our core concerns include the quality of the student experience and providing opportunities for campus involvement and learning outside the classroom.

In addition, the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students is an excellent place to begin if students, parents or family members need assistance in understanding the University or figuring out where to turn with a specific inquiry. Please visit our website or give us a call at (208) 282-2315.
