Academic Resources. Provides important links to general information about academics at ISU: class and final exam schedule, academic catalogs, calendars, handbooks, etc.
Approval Alerts. Provides notice when a document approver has documents awaiting his or her approval. Also provides access to the document so that it can be approved or denied.
Banner Self-Service. Provides access to the various Self-Serve features offered through Banner, including personal and employee information.
BBC News. Provides links to news stories from the BBC. Click on the story heading to pull up the full story.
Bookmarks. See My Bookmarks.
Bookmarks Plus. Allows ISU to set up bookmarks for all users, which only ISU can change, in addition to allowing users to add their own bookmarks to the list. Also allows you to set up a different bookmark channel on each tab, with separate links in each.
Campus Activities. Provides links to popular campus activity information, including athletics, theater, and music, among others.
Campus Announcements. Provides the first few lines of recent campus announcements sent to all campus users. Click on any campus announcement to view the expanded page of all campus announcements. Items in campus announcements will be removed from the list when they expire; this time frame is determined by ISU policy or by the party who sent the announcement.
Campus Services. Provides links to various services offered at ISU, including the Health Center, Parking, and Public Safety, among others.
Campus Work Orders. Provides links to various areas where you can place a work order: Facilities, IT Operations, and Networking & Telecommunications (NeTel).
CNN News. Provides a link to the homepage for CNN News.
Contact Purchasing. Provides a list of employees working in the purchasing office, including their phone numbers and their ISU email addresses.
Directories & Frequently Called Numbers. Provides links to directories; also provides frequently called numbers and links to the websites for those areas.
Email Tools. Provides links to email, the firewall, and the List Serve Administration.
Employment Details. Provides links to your various employment details. Benefits: your personal benefits summary; Direct Deposit: Your Direct Deposit Allocation; Pay Stub: your pay stubs, since they not printed out if you have direct deposit; Job Details: your current job summary; Leave Details: your current leave balances. The Employee Directory link is currently unavailable.
ESPN news. Provides a link to the homepage for ESPN News.
Facebook. Provides a link to the Facebook log-in page.
Finance Forms. Provides access to all the Finance forms which various areas on campus may need to use.
Finance Information. Provides links to check finance balances and view financial documents.
Financial Advisor. Provides at-a-glance display of budget balances. Account Directors can view five budgets in this channel. (Please note: If you are responsible for more than five budgets, you'll need to add another channel to your Finance tab and enter the additional budget information there.)
Forms. Provides links to the most-often-used ISU forms.
FOX News. Provides a link to the homepage for FOX News.
FS Tools. Provides access to the Faculty/Staff Tools page of ISU's website. Because BengalWeb features single sing-on, you will not need to log in to the Faculty/Staff Tools page is you access it through BengalWeb.
Governance. Provides links to the websites of ISU's governing bodies: Classified Employees Council (CEC), Council of Professional Employees (COPE), Faculty Senate, Staff Council.
Grants Alerts. Provides updated information when grants will expire.
Group Leader Activity Channel. Gives group leaders an at-a-glance view of new content that requires approval in their groups. Additional help for this channel is available by clicking on the help button in the channel tool bar. The chat function is not available.
Group Studio Activity Channel. Gives group members an at-a-glance view of new information in the groups they belong to. Additional help for this channel is available by clicking on the help button in the channel tool bar.
Help Resources. Provides links to many help providers on campus: IT Service Desk; Crisis Counseling; Campus Emergencies; PSUB & Rendezvous Help.
Help with Finance & Purchasing. Provides links for requisition approvers, instuctions on the various Finance Channels, some FAQs and a crosswalk that allows you to type in your old Account number to find out your new Index Code.
Help with HR Payroll Channels. Provides links to tutorials, instructions, sample time sheets, and FAQs regarding HR Payroll issues.
How to Use BengalWeb. Provides links to an Introductory Video about BengalWeb, as well as to a more detailed User's Guide to BengalWeb.
ISU Bengal. Provides headlines, brief summaries, and links for the stories contained int he current online edition of the ISU Bengal newspaper.
ISU Event Calendar. Provides a calendar of ISU events. Place your mouse on an orange date for a quick pop-up view of what's scheduled that day, or click on the day to bring up a full-page calendar with more complete information and links to full information pages about each event.
ISU Headlines. Provides a list of news items from ISU University Relations. Click on the blue headline to see a more complete story.
ISU News Sources. Provides quick links to ISU news sources, including the school paper, radio station, and employee newsletter, among others.
ISU Resources. Provides links to frequently-accessed ISU resources, from your email spam filter to travel services.
ISU Twitter Headlines. Provides access to ISU's Twitter feed.
IT Service Desk. Provides contact information and links to the IT Service Desk. All problems with software, hardware, or networking are handled by the IT Service Desk (also known as the "Help Desk"). You can also search their Knowledge Base for answers to your tech question, using the link found in this channel.
Library News. Provides a bulleted list of the latest news from the Eli M. Oboloer Library. Each heading is a link to a more complete version of that news.
Library Resources. Provides links to the most-used library resources, including the library's databases and catalog searching resources.
Library Services. Provides links and information about services the library provides, including "Ask-A-Librarian" and the Reference Desk phone number.
Maps & Directions. Contains maps and directions for the ISU Pocatello campus and a link to Google maps so you can find directions for anywhere else in the world.
Moodle. Provides a direct link to Moodle. BengalWeb features single sign-on so you will not have to sign in again if you access Moodle through BengalWeb.
My Bookmarks. Features a place for you to set up bookmarks (links), so you can easily go to your favorite other web-based resources. If you have a lot of bookmarks, you can organize them into folders by clicking on the folder icons at the bottom of the channel.
My Calendar. Features at-a-glance access to your calendar, your to-do list, and any pending invitations. You can customize the details shown or choose which calendar you want to use. More info on personal calendars . . .
NPR News. Provides a direct link to the NPR news home page.
Personal Announcements. Provides the first few lines of personal announcements you have recently received. The personal announcements you receive will depend on your role, status, major, or enrolled courses. Click on any personal announcement to view the expanded page with the full-text of all active personal announcements that you have received. You may also delete them while you're in the expanded page.
Items in your personal announcements list will be removed from your list when they expire; this time frame is determined by ISU policy or by the party who sent the personal announcement.
Personal Information. Provides links that will let you update your address, phone, email, or emergency numbers. Once updated here, changes will be updated throughout the system.
Pocatello Weather. Provides information on Pocatello's current weather as well as the weather forecast for the next week.
PSUB and Rendezvous Reservations. Provides links to allow you to make reservations with Chartwells or to schedule an event on campus.
Purchase Card. Provides links to the Expense Account Codes and the current PCard Manual.
Purchasing Resources. Provides links to buyer assignments, the commodity code list, state purchasing contracts, purchasing forms, and information on bids.
Regional Sites. Provides links to the websites of our regional campuses: Meridian, Idaho Falls, and Twin Falls.
Reports @ISU (Argos). Provides links to the Argos sign in page, Argos instructions, and contacts for Argos reports.
Requisitions. Provides links for those certified to create Requisitions at ISU.
Search ISU. Allows you to search the ISU website.
Site Map. Provides an overview of all the channels in all of your tabs. Each channel name is a link that you can click to open up that channel.
Software. Provides links to software you can download, as well as ISU software purchases and discounts.
Suggestions. Allows users to send in a suggestion to improve BengalWeb, or a more general suggestion to improve the university overall.
Sun WebMail. Provides a link to your Sun Webmail account. Because we have single sign-on within BengalWeb, you will not need to re-login to access your email when you're in BengalWeb.
Tigeri Tools. Provides a link to the signon page to access Internet Native Banner.
Tigeri Training. Provides a link to the Tigeri Training website, an email link, and other contact information.
Time Approval. Provides access for time approvers to approve time for the employees they supervise.
Time Entry Alerts. Provides important information for completing your Web Time Entry correctly for a particular Bi-weekly Payroll.
Time Reporting. Provides links to the time sheets where employees can do Web Time Entry. A tutorial for how to correctly perform Web Time Entry is available through the "Help with HR Payroll Channels" channel or you can click on this link: Web Time Entry Tutorial
Tutorial. Provides a channel with a list of FAQ's that came with the Luminus software that runs BengalWeb. Each blue headline provides a link to more detailed information on that topic.
Web Cam. Provides a live feed from the ISU web cam, located on the roof of the PSUB looking west.
WikiHow. Provides two postings (changed daily) from the wikiHow website which provides informative (and sometimes humorous) instructions on how to do all sorts of things).
Word of the Day. Provides a new word and definition each day, with a search function to look up other words. The content for the Word of the Day channel is provided by Dictionary.com.
