ERP Project Manager
I am the project manager for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) at Idaho State University. An ERP system is an integrated computer system that provides administrative services to all campus constituencies. Common systems included are finance, human resources/payroll, student information and services, financial aid, and advancement. The ISU ERP project is currently in its initial stages. Vendor responses to a request for proposals are due in October, and evaluation of those responses will continue through the fall, 2006, semester. Complete implementation of the system is expected to take approximately three years.
Before coming to ISU in the fall of 2006, I spent 35 years at Wichita State University. While there I spent 32 years as a professor of astronomy (where I was active in teaching, research, and academic service) before becoming the project manager for the WSU Information Network (WIN) implementation project. For more information, check out the WIN website.
