What is eISU?
eISU provides students with distance education courses taught online using various educational technologies. A wide array of courses are offered each semester allowing students greater flexibility in completing course work while better managing the competing demands on their time.
eISU is supported by a $35 per credit hour fee on online courses. This is in addition to other course fees that may be required, such as professional program fees.
eISU Course Delivery
eISU courses are delivered as synchronous, asynchronous, or blended. Synchronous courses are offered during scheduled time to allow real-time access to the course materials, instructor and other students. Asynchronous courses offer any-time access to the course materials, instructor and other students with fewer time restrictions allowing flexibility in student’s schedule. Blended courses use both synchronous and asynchronous environments.

Idaho State University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, which is one of six regional organizations recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit postsecondary institutions within the United States. The NWCCU accreditation standards cover all courses and programs offered through Idaho State University.
