Lead child care providers have backgrounds/ training in child development/ early childhood education.  ELC employees are required to be certified in CPR and First Aid and to be licensed by the City of Pocatello.  They are also trained in fire extinguisher discharge as well as protocol in case of a natural disaster or other emergency.  In the event of an emergency, Public Safety will respond by dispatching an officer within minutes of our call.
