"We Care About Children"

The Early Learning Center offers a developmentally appropriate, child centered program that stresses the well-being of children from six weeks of age through fifth grade by maintaining the highest standards for employees and for environments.  We are dedicated to serving the children of ISU students, faculty, staff, and alumni.  (alumni are defined as those who have earned twenty-four or more credits at ISU.)

ELC Philosophy

We believe the best child care environment honors each child.  Care providers design a safe learning environment with real objects that help children connect to the world through their play.  We provide opportunities for multi-cultural and other activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.  Our goal is to create positive and mutually supportive working relationships with the families we serve by encouraging and promoting a self directed staff who work well together as a team and receive ongoing opportunities for professional development.
