The Alex Urfer Diversity and Enrichment Scholarship Endowment
This Endowment was established by Dr. Alex Urfer shortly after his "retirement" from the University in 2010. The Endowment awards an annual scholarship in the amount of at least $1000.00 to a third year female student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program or the Master of Occupational Therapy Program who demonstrated professional initiative in both clinical and academic endeavors by seeking out and completing creative and diverse clinical, academic and service learning experiences during their graduate studies. Further, the recipient must show a strong potential for continued lifelong learning with the expectation of a solid commitment to the professions. This scholarship is an ongoing reflection of Dr. Urfer's dedication to excellence in teaching, learning and student motivation and professionalism. The award is presented at the annual graduation ceremonies.
