Graduate Teaching Assistantship
Applications are now being accepted for a graduate teaching assistantship for a physical therapist with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree at the doctoral or master level at Idaho State University. The assistantship award package includes between $18,900 ( masters level) - $28,100 (doctoral level) stipend, tuition, fee waiver, and health insurance for renewable nine month contracts depending on satisfactory degree progress.
Teaching assistants are scheduled for approximately twenty contact hours a week to meet responsibilities based on departmental needs and applicant expertise. Idaho State University offers the Doctor of Physical Therapy and the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) degree programs and is located in Pocatello, Idaho in the heart of the inter-mountain west with wonderful opportunities for outdoor recreation and a relaxed lifestyle.
Requirements: The candidate must be eligible for Idaho physical therapy licensure and have an interest in teaching, supervising laboratories and clinical practice (applicants with expertise or interest in vestibular rehabilitation will be given preference). The Graduate Teaching Assistant student must be accepted into a graduate program at the university and be enrolled in at least nine credits of graduate work per semester to maintain the assistantship.
