Driving Directions to ISU

From Boise / American Falls

  • Drive east on I-86 until you get to Pocatello.
  • Take the I-15 South exit (number 63A) towards Salt Lake. Car
  • Take the Clark Street/Idaho State University exit (number 69)
  • Turn right on Clark Street and continue west until 8th Street.
  • Turn left at the stop light on 8th Street.
  • Follow 8th Street, approximately 8 blocks to ISU campus.

From Idaho Falls

  • Drive South on I-15 until you get to Pocatello.
  • Continue on I-15 to the Clark Street/Idaho State University exit (number 69).
  • Turn right on Clark Street and continue west until 8th Street.
  • Turn left at the stop light on 8th Street.
  • Follow 8th Street, approximately 8 blocks to ISU campus.

From Utah

  • Drive North on I-15 until you get to Pocatello.
  • Continue on I-15 to the Clark Street/Idaho State University exit (number 69).
  • Turn left on Clark Street and continue West until 8th Street.
  • Turn left at the stop light on 8th Street.
  • Follow 8th Street, approximately 8 blocks to ISU campus.

Parking Information

All campus parking lots are open to the public on the weekends and after 4pm on weekdays (except handicapped spaces). Parking meters are also free.

Visitor (guest) passes are available at the Campus Parking Office on the corner of 5th and Humbolt Streets or at the Information Booth located in R2 (in front of the Administration Bldg. 10).

Visitors may park at the parking meters in the individual lots, with either coins or guest pass or in the controlled visitor area south of the Student Union Building (Bldg. 14). Unless otherwise specified, guest passes will be valid only in the meters, Holt Arena or G-3 Lot.

Note: Visitors to campus displaying a state disabled permit can park anywhere on campus. Exceptions must be approved by the Public Safety Operations Manager. Faculty, staff and students are not classified as visitors and may not use the meters marked for visitors only.
