This Office of General Counsel (OGC) Web Site is intended to provide information to the University community about our office, legal issues, and topics of interest.
Some of the services provided by the OGC include: legal counsel, prelitigation and legal risk management, contract drafting and review, compliance reviews, preventative advice, educational training, and maintaining the University's official policies online. We also encourage open communication with the various University administrators, staff, faculty, and student representatives in order to sustain legal compliance and reduce risks for the University.
Communications with the OGC attorneys regarding ISU legal matters are generally protected by attorney-client privilege and are confidential. However, e-mails are not necessarily secure, thus, their confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. The OGC is not permitted to provide personal legal advice to individuals.
