ISU 15 Passenger Van Warning
Idaho State University Transportation Services Department (TSD) discourages uniformly any use of a fifteen-passenger van for human transportation. Below is a WARNING LIST of unstable conditions that have been demonstrated to contribute to fifteen-passenger van rollover.
When loaded with 10 or more passengers (Rollover potential is three times higher.)
When extreme maneuvers are made
When ice and/or snow is present on the road.
When occupants shift their weight
When air pressure in a tire is low
When at least one wheel drops off the pavement on a low or nonexistent shoulder or berm
When driving too fast for the present conditions )even under good conditions, 65 miles per hour can be excessive.
When pulling a trailer
