"Playboy of the Western World" takes place in the early 1900's on the west coast of Ireland. J. M. Synge tells the stoy of a young man, Christy Mahon, running away from his farm claiming he killed his father. Despite his claim, the locals aren't too interested in condemning his immorality, they are consumed with vicariously enjoying his story. Theatre/Dance ISU is proud to welcome the Irish classic, "Playboy of the Western World" to the Rogers Black Box Theatre.

"Cootie Shots" is a unique assortment of plays, songs and poems designed for young audiences. Created by Fringe Benefits, a coalition of theatre artists, youth, educators and parents, "Cootie Shots" provides a fun and constructive way to promote tolerance and celebrate diversity by presenting role models of many different races, cultures, classes, genders, abilities, religions, ages and appearances.

Considered one of Elmer Rice's most successful works, "Street Scene" critiques the negative effects of urban and industrial society on the average person. Praised for its innovative structure, multiple plots, and host of characters "Street Scene" examines different kinds of lower-middle class people living in New York City. This American Opera is able to caputre audiences around the world. Don't miss out as Theatre/Dance ISU and the Department of Music take you on a musical journey of New York City through the eyes of Elmer Rice.
