Staff Council
2008 Staff Recognition Dessert Reception
With change comes growth and with growth comes new opportunities. We are very pleased to tell you about some changes and about a new opportunity. Staff Council and Human Resources will be hosting a dessert reception to recognize and honor those staff members who have reached a milestone in their years of service to the university.
Last year, in an effort to unify the staff members of ISU, the Staff Council was formed. For the past several years, the university provided a separate recognition luncheon for staff members of CEC and COPE. This year, to allow us the opportunity to network and mingle with all of our peers, we have decided to break with tradition and create an Employee Recognition Dessert Reception. Mark your calendars now and make plans to join us in honoring our dedicated colleagues at this reception. This event will be held at the following locations:
Boise
Wednesday, April 16, 2008, from 2 – 4 in Room 96
Idaho Falls
Friday, April 25, 2008 from 11:30 – 1:30 in the Bennion Student Union
Pocatello
Monday, April 28 from 1 – 4 in the Wood/Little Wood River Rooms
We are very excited about the new opportunities ahead of us as we grow as an institution and a Staff Council. We are ever grateful for your indispensible contribution to helping ISU take the lead in innovation and opportunity.
Together we will take Idaho State University to the next level!
New Procedure, Flowchart, and Tracking Form
The following was released Oct. 22 as a joint memo from Staff Council President Ray Hart and Faculty Senate Chairman John Masserini:
"Due to the recent approval of an updated procedure, flowchart, and routing form for Faculty/Staff Handbook changes, the "Faculty and Staff Handbook Committee" under Section II Institutional Governance, E. The University Council System, 4g has officially been dissolved. Upon close examination of this committee, we found most of the members were no longer at ISU and the committee itself was not recognized and moribund. The new procedure for Faculty/Staff Handbook changes is more inclusive and speaks directly to the spirit of a shared governance structure at ISU.
"The new procedure, flowchart, and tracking form are available on the Faculty Senate Web site under "Current Issues," the Staff Council Web site, and the General Counsel’s Web site."
See the new tracking form, procedure and flowchart here.
