ISU offers a pre-professional program (post-baccalaureate program) for students who graduated with a bachelor's degree in communication sciences more than 10 years prior, or for those students who have a bachelor's degree or higher in another field. This program is available on both the Pocatello and Meridian campuses, as well as entirely online.
This three semester, 38-41 credit program will prepare students to apply to a graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology at ISU or any other accredited program in communication sciences. The curriculum is rich in audiological coursework, typical speech and language development as well as disorders, and includes clinical courses designed to prepare the student to work with both children and adults in graduate training.
For online students considering a switch to on-campus attendance, please remember the requirement that all students planning to attend classes on campus in Meridian have to fill out an Intent form, available from Dorys.
