Online Master's Degree in Speech / Language Pathology

Who can apply?
- Anyone with a BS/BS in Communication Sciences. Please note that if your BS/BA degree is more than 10 years old, you will likely be required to begin with leveling coursework (pre-professional sequence).
- Anyone with a BS/BA in another field is eligible for admission, though leveling courses will be needed. This may be done through ISU’s on-line pre professional program, or through another university.
What are the minimum admissions requirements?
- Minimum 3.0 GPA, as computed from your most recent 60 college credits
- On the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) one score within the 40th percentile or above
- Completion of the admissions packet, including admission form to graduate school, letters of recommendation and official transcripts and test scores
What is the cost of the program?
- Graduate tuition (2009-10):
- Idaho Resident
- Full-Time (9 credits or more) = $2924 per semester
- Part-time 87 credits or less) = $297 per credit
- Non-Resident
- Full-Time (9 credits or more) = $7825 per semester
- Part-time 87 credits or less) = $437 per credit
- Professional fees in addition to tuition:
- $440 per credit hour for graduate coursework
- $185 per credit hour for pre-professional coursework
- Idaho Resident
How long will the program take to complete?
- The standard program will be a 36 month track, including summers. An extended option is available.
Will I have to come to campus for clinical practicum or can I find practicum sites within my home town?
- Students will need to be available for on campus clinic during the 1st and 2nd summers for 6-8 weeks. Clinic for the first summer will be on the ISU Pocatello, ID Campus. Clinic for the second summer will be on the Meridian, ID campus.
How can I get started in 2009?
- You can apply now to begin graduate coursework in 2010.
