A Doll's House

Nora Helmer committed forgery years earlier in order to save the life of her husband Torvald. Now she is being blackmailed and fears what the scandal will do to her husband's career if it is revealed. But when the truth comes out, Nora is more shocked to learn where she really stands in her husband's esteem. Ibsen's play aroused great controversy during its time because of its critical attitude towards 19th century marriage norms.

Programs

In the School of Performing Arts, the music, theatre, and dance programs continually produce a large number of shows and group performances. These productions provide first-hand training experience and opportunities to excell on-stage and behind the scenes.

Facilities

The School of Performing Arts maintains its presence in five buildings on the ISU campus, including the Stephens Center for the Performing Arts, where we present symphonic and concert performances, theatrical productions, and dance in world class facilities.

Performance Oppurtunites

The faculty and students of the School of Performing Arts are among the most visible members of the ISU community and can often be found at functions and festivals well outside of their respective academic missions.

The faculty and students travel all around the region to further artistic vision, and many are recognized in activities at both national and international levels.
