PUBLIC EVENTS

The 20th International Ezra Pound Conference will take place in Sun Valley over the Fourth of July holiday. Scholars and students from ten different countries will attend the meeting to discuss Pound's life and work. They will be joined by two eminent and accomplished American poets, Robert Creeley and Lawrence Ferlinghetti.

Four conference events are open to members of the public. Both Robert Creeley and Lawrence Ferlinghetti will give public readings of their work. Along with the world's leading Pound scholar, Professor Hugh Kenner, the poets will also participate in a panel discussion of Pound as an American figure. Finally, the keynote address will be presented by the distinguished literary critic, Professor Denis Donoghue of New York University.
